Oops. Here is the message that explains the things because the hp/torque figures are a bit frustrating for the moment. Sorry.

Potential buyers of this CAI should be made fully aware that the manufacturer does not deny that the dyno chart published by them may NOT represent actual useage, on the road, performance improvement.

The manufacturer's agent quite freely admits that just prior to each dyno run the engine/transaxle ECU was reset and thereby the dyno runs were made using only the factory default ECU parameters with no "drive cycle" completed for the ECU to accomplish the recalibration, "learning" procedures required for the ECU to adapt parameters such as fuel trim to/for the newly modified engine intake configuration.

That being said it must alo be stated that the dyno may very well have proven even a higher level of performance were the tests completed properly. On the other hand it seems improbable, even impossible, for the manufacturer to not know the fact of the need for the ECU to be put through the relearning process, period, in order to have "true-to-life" results.

Has anyone using this intake gotten a check light since usage/installation?
Reason I ask is because of the sevice buliten that came out in March about it possibly being a cause !

No problems whatsoever. Anyone who does get a CEL, make sure the fittings and connections are tight.

Why the drop of HP and Torque at around 3,300 RPM?

If you follow Hondata's posts, you will learn that auto tranny and dyno loading are difficult to balance. My on-road experience is that you'd better be hanging on before 3300 because stuff starts happening Real Quick.

Yep, plus most turbo cars get a touch of boost spike at full spool, then the ECU dials is back a touch (and likely alters timing a bit).
