2011 RDX SH AWD first time modding

Hi guys,

So I just bit the bullet and purchased a 2011 RDX SH AWD. I am looking to build some decent power with this car. I have purchased the ETS Intercooler and K&N Typhoon intake. In the near future I will be ordering a flashpro, and downpipe with the high flow cat since I live in Canada. Has anyone else done these same mods and noticed a good bump in power?

I have a 2010 RDX SH-AWD with some of those mods. I first put on my CPE intake, 800cc injectors, and the P2R gasket. It was when I put on the RV6 downpipe (mine is catless) that I really felt a dramatic power increase; this will easily be your biggest power gain. I also got the FlashPro and had Vit Viper tune my car when I put on the downpipe, which I highly suggest getting a tune if you are putting on all of these mods (Vit has a nice etune bundle with a FlashPro). Also note that after I put on the downpipe, my 800cc injectors were at 61% during WOT; so I would also look into getting bigger injectors as the stock ones would be maxed out.

I've also since then put in a bigger fuel pump and made the switch to ethanol and am in the process of getting it tuned by Vit for e85. This thing has really come alive since all of these mods! It's just so much fun to drive now.

Not trying to hijack but I'm possibly doing the same mods as TS minus the intake.

@manbear
So you're saying the stock injectors can't handle ETS, downpipe and reflash? I don't spend much time at WOT; I'm mainly looking to upgrade the daily driving range i.e. 2500 to about 4K is where I live 95% of the time.

@mistry
You done any of the mods yet?

Good catch; brain cramp on my part. But I don't do much WOT either; maybe once in a while but certainly not on a consistent basis. I'm usually feather to moderate throttle b/c I'm always playing the 'try to avg 23 MPG game'.

I understood what you meant tho.
I think you meant that you never drive at redline.

Good evening,

You can put on an air intake, turbo back exhaust, bypass valve, and top mount Intercooler and be fine. The injectors are only needed if you use the flashpro as it leans out the car and will max out your stock injectors.
