What Audio Part is this?

Hey all,

Does anyone know what the part in the picture below is? I was going back through the stuff the audio installer gave back to me, and have no idea what this piece is. Thanks in advance...

Did you change the sub?

It looks like it may be the oem sub amp.

i think you're right, i just tore out the back side and the plug is there that fits this. Why wouldn't they run the wire out from this to the LOC than to the amps? Maybe this is why i'm getting that small amount of pink noise since it looks like the big plug transmits some data over...

Apologies in advance that this is a double post...Anyone know where the stock sub amp mounts to in the right rear quarter panel?
