Exclamation coming soon, audio install

Sorry I want to update everyone, and it has taken a while.

Everything I installed works (minus the Steering wheel remote-- which doesn't bother me because my head unit has a wireless handheld remote) and maybe an mobile-audio shop can take this to another level, this impressed my friend and co-owner of a local shop, I don't want to do this stuff for a living anymore.

I got the head-unit in, install was seriously a pain, but you can enjoy the "fruits of my labor" minus the PAC SWI-RC, and some "garnish" parts decided to take vacations before I started working on it(amp covers). I will post the build shortly.

--I am waiting on somebody to get back to me, as i may have found some OEM wiring issues; wiring for some speakers may be electrically out of phase.

I also have a few suggestions for afterwards review. I have install pix 2

oh for the record.. I am not the first, there is someone else who actually installed a 2 din in the MFD lcd spot.. Theotts.. IIRC

That looks fantastic! Nice job! You figure there's gotta be a way to get the steering wheel controls working.

It is tempting to replace the aging NAV system in my Tech. I could probably recoup much of the new equipment costs by selling the NAV unit too.

I think you are referring to theotts nav install. Mine is a little different...

I put the link in because I didn't want to be the first install like this, and the otts deserve credit to. I didn't think the nav could fit in the space that it did. This will offer people a choice as to what they can install.

IMO my lil garmin 765 goes with any vehicle so nav or tech is really a $3000+ and interest waste.

Anyhow this thread is destined to deletion btw.

@wlg -Yeah I wrote back, lol. I know space is at a premium IMO behind the dash. I'd do a monitor with feed from a head unit. It took 5 days every day after work to put it all together. Iirc 3 hours for the head unit alone. I managed to sort out the wiring (another thread of mine; this forum)so that'll save you guys some time vs 3 hours I did it in.
