Cell phone for 2011 RDX

I have a Verizon Facinate..."almost" compatible with the new car. I can make and receive calls but that's it. I am due for an update..any suggestions. I am leaning towards an Iphone. Does anyone have experience using an Iphone with the RDX with the technology package?

My wife has the +2 year old 3GS iPhone with our 08 RDX w/ Tech. We had some problems early on when I had my blackberry and iPhone paired at the same time (one or the other phone would fail to connect after about week). When I deleted my blackberry from her RDX, the iPhone has been perfect ever since. The iPhone Bluetooth module sounds and works better compared to the Blackberry Curve.

The 08 RDX does not have the Bluetooth streaming audio option which would be a very cool feature. I just have a retractable male-to-male 3.5mm plug to connect the iPhone to the aux plug for quick music on the go. My wife has zero complaints about music sound quality, transfer process from RDX to phone, hands free operation, and sound quality for her or the distance end. You still have to close the moon roof and roll up the windows if you need to talk to someone (more for them to hear you better).

The one good thing about the iPhone is it will be around for a very long time compared to other brands. As long as the battery holds out, the iPhone will last as long as the RDX. Even if the battery takes a dump, you can purchase a mophie juice pack for more mobile power.

Thank you

The 2011 RDX has a USB port in the glove box between the seats so my "Nano" works perfectly and the menu appears on the Nav screen. That's why I thought the iphone would work well with the system. While the ipod is plugged into the system it also charges it. I am hoping I can transfer my phone book into the car. Thank you for your reply.

You might run into issues with transfering your phone book. I have a newly purchased 2011 RDX with Tech and an iPhone 3Gs. My phone has a large phone book; lots of clients have multiple numbers and addresses. Only about one third of it will transfer. Dealer told me that I exceed the memory limits of the car. My wife has a 5 series BMW and the same phone transfers the address book to it with no issues.
