Is anyone elses Navi bad at estimating "to go" time?

Just getting used to the RDX Navi (previously used a standalone Garmin Navi unit in my old car. Anyway it seems like the estimated "to go" time is way to high. My Garmin seemed to do a better job at accurately guessing the ETA.

I could not find it but is there a way to adjust the settings in terms of MPH the Navi will use on highway and streets? If I up this MPH this should help lower the estimated times.

Thanks,

Marc

When I travel to visit the in-laws in the eastern part of the state, my speed varies from 80 mph on the interstate to 60 mph on the back roads. The Navi always overestimates the time at the start of the 3 ½ drive; but, it get more accurate the closer I get. I think the navi can't estimate speed and stops during the entire route of travel.

I agree although on my Garmin Nuvi and my buddies Lexus navigation you are able to adjust the settings to up MPH speeds on the highway and streets. This greatly improves estimated times of arrival. I was checking to see if you can do this on the Acura software...I guess not.

Just bumping this to the top. Yesterday I had 10 miles to my destination and although it only took me 11 minutes the Navi told me 21 minutes. This is really inaccurate and could be fixed easily if the navi allowed us to tweak MPH we travel on the various roads. My Garmin can be adjusted this way....does anyone know if the Acura Navi can be adjusted?? Thanks.

It would be interesting to know what the Acura defaults are. I'm guessing that they are below the posted limits. That's the case with my StreetAtlas software. It tends to really overestimate ETA's.

Ive noticed sometimes i see the actual time is less than the "To go" time.. but i don't really worry about that.
