bluetooth function

Just got our RDX last week and am still trying to use HF to call. I paired my phone ok, but when I tried to complete the process, the next screen had me select from a list of phone service providers. I have verizon and it wasn't on the list. Can anyone give advice on how to connect? Thanks!

Love the car so far!

RDX doesnt support phone book pairing, u might have been doing that not bluetooth pairing.

I believe *hit send/pickup
say "setup"
*hit send/pickup
say "Pairing"
it will guide you through picking a number as a code to pair ur phone, usually pick 1-2-3-4 because its easy to remember, then it will tell u to put ur phone into discovery mode, verizon it is under the bluetooth menu there is setup, and then choose "find" i think. it will find ur phone, your phone should ask you for a code, and enter the 1-2-3-4 or w/e you choose. then walla done. I am writing this without the manual in front of me but i believe that is how it goes off the top of my head, best of luck

If it is asking about phone service providers that sounds more like you are setting up the Acuralink system which is a data service that the car uses to report problems with your car. Setting up the HF for calling is pretty much like neo1738 said and shouldn't ask you for your phone service provider...

Not to sound mean, but didn't the dealer go over all of this stuff with you? And didn't the dealer go over your owners manual with you of what sections you should read? My dealer sure did. I thought he wouldn't give the car unless I let him complete his list of things to cover. I felt like the little kid who couldn't go out to play unless I did all of my homework. I'm sure the HFL was one of the things he trained me on.

And didn't you read the owners manual. I admit I haven't read all of it but I did thumb through all of the sections. The owners manual is actually helpful for most questions like this but everyone on this forum is very helpful too for stuff you can't find or not in the manual.

Some of us like to explore the menus ourselves...

In my case, the salesman was willing to help me get set up in the car, but I was an hour and a half from home and the dealership was already closed. He "sort of" knew how to do this stuff, but he wasn't the greatest expert so I cut him loose and just muddled through on my own. I ended up needing the manual for a couple of things that didn't meet my expectations, but the menus are reasonably well set up once you get their drift.

Thanks to all who responded. We figured it out and are now connected. We picked up our car on a Sunday, so many people at the dealership were not in. We did get the manual, as well as some DVDs to watch, but did not get a personal tutorial on the Tech system.

We were called by their "tech specialist" during the week to set up an appointment for him to go over the nav system. Wish we would've gotten this instruction before we rolled off the lot. Plus, the guy only works M-F from 10-5:30 so unless we take a day off of work, that's just not going to happen. Happy to have this forum to fall back on.

If you can at all swing it, the tech tutorial was worth the time to me. He showed me all the car's features and even set up the bluetooth with my phone and helped me load the phone book.

It's good to hear you at least have the opportunity for training, I was starting to think my dealer was special.
