About an hour ago, I was driving to pick someone up and my radio was working fine. I parked for about an hour to go eat while waiting. I come back ready to leave and as soon as I started my car, there was no audio. The buttons work, I was able to toggle back and forth between stations, xm radio, CD, aux, etc..., but there was still no audio. I tried the AUX and there was no audio coming from my phone neither.

I unplugged my phone and thought maybe it was my phone without the audio, but the phone started playing music after I unplugged the aux cable. I'm not exactly sure what to do here since it just randomly happened. Is there a button or something that I might've pushed? Or maybe a wire that I have to reconnect?

Would it help to mention the fact that the "voice" of the car doesn't work?

When you go to my messages there is an option for the Voice to read back the info and that is grayed out. I'm assuming that I must've pushed something to turn it off, unless it just stopped working altogether. In that case, if anyone has any info, please help?

Oh that is wired, I will have to keep an eye on mine. I have an '07.

 

I have an 07 tech and had the same problem intermittent for the last year, mainly when it was cold outside. I pulled the system apart when I installed an HD adapter and unplugged and reattached all of the wire harnesses and checked all of the looms, to include the navi traffic unit. It seems to have worked.
