Seat of pants wise, it pulls harder and smoother with intake mods. Streets have been wet or ice so I can't get a comparison datalog, yet.

Because of the way the back gets so muddy driving on wet roads I bought an air diverter for the lift gate from a C-RV knowing it would take a lot of work fitting it. Before starting on that I got a Gurney flap
Amazon Amazon
to see if it would disrupt the air enough to keep it cleaner. It keeps about 90% cleaner with very little work, so I'm pretty happy with it. Needed to use a heat gun to form the curves and it doesn't look horribad.

Got a call from Blouch this morning, turbo is coming home. Even though I don't have a problem with engine mounts I'm going to replace all the old rubber stuff for the extra whorespuppies.

Awesome!

I wonder if this turbo setup will pass California smog with the stock tune.

I think the big problem is the stock injectors are close to max and may lean you out. They wouldn't be able to see anything because it uses the factory turbo.
Hondata Flashpro has a CARB model so you can go with bigger injectors,

Turbo installed. Now I need to learn how to raise or turn off the overboost. Getting on the freeway triggered the P2263 code ;(
Spools much faster and hits hard Tires struggle for traction, can't imagine what a FWD only would do.

Interesting point:
I gained 3 MPG and a considerable amount of torque.

Blouch turbo done after TL throttle body and RV6 down pipe, so I don't know what it would do alone, but WoW. I can't imagine a better upgrade for the money. I love how quickly the speedo needle climbs.

Since I use 92 octane with Aces IV treatment that brings octane to 95, I upped my boost to 2.2 bar. Showed my 4-ways to a mid '60's Camaro with very fat tires and a wumpity-bump idle.
Embarrassing old muscle cars in a 4 cylinder crossover is precious

Went to the dealer to buy parts for my upcoming intercooler upgrade. I figured since I've got 165k miles on it, I should put in new plugs and coils while the intercooler was off.
Dealer price was $1124.50, but because I took in the quote from https://acura.oempartsonline.com/?ut...Black-Friday-2 I paid $480.98. Well worth the effort.

Received my (used) ETS intercooler today, thank you Kevin2m4. This will save a bunch of work installing a front mount.

Had new plugs and coils put in while changing the intercooler today and they disconnected the HFL module for free.

I had an interesting problem come up. I wasn't sure if it was charging system or battery. It turned out to be the alternator.
It started off with the SHAWD light coming on, then the ASA flashing, followed by transmission not shifting right and slipping. Finally, the check charging system and battery lights came on.
As the battery voltage dropped it would drop the more 'thirsty' systems. I did however learn how a front wheel drive only unit would act with the extra power, smokey.
By the way, I took a print out of an order form for an alternator from OEM Parts Online (https://acura.oempartsonline.com/?ut...Black-Friday-2) and saved $170.00 at the dealership.

The BPT upgraded turbo spools later, but when it does, the dance begins. It really makes the SH-AWD work hard for traction and does the 4wd hopping
Does anyone know if there is a lower gear set available? I don't need it geared for 200 mph (theoretical) as most of my driving is city.

I installed a TurboSmart diverter valve https://www.turbosmart.com/product/k...mb-back-mazda/ yesterday.
They don't sell the tool to loosen the flange lock to clock the plumb back fitting, so I improvised. I stuck my needle nose pliers in a vice and it worked great.

Had some fun with a V6 Accord yesterday. Dead even, until the turbo spooled. After that it was mirror time.
He turned at the next light, oh the embarrassment of being spanked by a 4 cylinder SUV.

If you do order one, it comes folded in a small box and needs to be warmed to straighten.

Wish I could get an accurate fuel level on the gauge. With the BPT, rv6, Ets, ID 1054

Wish i could get an accurate fuel level. When full it shows 3/4 and when you run out it shows 1/4.

Have BPT, I D 1050s, rv6, Ets, 240amp alternator, DW 235 pump, D Rob tune.

Could this be related to the pump swap perhaps limiting the range of motion for the fuel level float in the tank? I'm not sure on the specifics for the RDX but I believe it can be located on the pump or pump bracket.

When I upgraded my fuel pump I bought a new pump assembly for a drop-in swap. My fuel gauge level was effected. At 3/4 level it takes 6 gallons to fill. I don't know what the empty reading is though, not really interested to find out.

no, I changed everything related to the Guage BTW always worked flawlessly.

I suspect the hondata tune changed some algorithm and is the issue. Would like a work around.

ouch. I'm running Handata FlashPro with no issues on a base tune. I have a few things still to do before I get a tuner involved.

The tires are Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 4 in 275x40x17
In case you wonder why I chose bronze, I'm going to have it wrapped. It will be 2 tone, below the belt line Green Hell Mango above will be the same color bronze as the wheels.

That tire size is too small, you are about 2.5 inch low on total diameter as compared to factory. Your actual speed will be low as compared to what displays on the speedometer. Also you will rack up miles faster as revs/mile will go up.

As stated in an earlier post, the tire size was chosen to lower gear ratio. Yes, when the speedometer says 35 mph, gps says 30. I live in a city where the primary speed limit is 30 mph and I gained 5 MPG. Highway speed limit is 60 mph, so I'm not worried about it and I rarely drive highways. Besides, I'm aiming at a low 13, high 12 second quarter mile time. Now it's time for a tune

Here's why I got the all seasons rather than the summers.

I've already ruined a set of summers. Driving on roads that cold makes them have a forever sound of mud tires. It fractures the inner structure of the tire and makes them loud and weak.

in case you don't know what Green Hell Mango is, it's a Mercedes flat green with gold pearl, Green Hell referring to the Ring.

Sadly, I'm having an issue with the turbo responding correctly. I have all the hoses on order and will have them all replaced, but I'm wondering if the boost controller I bought online is restricting the boost. I'm going to have the boost controller from the Amazon turbo put on. Yes, I'm too broken to do the work myself. I never ran a log with the Amazon turbo, but it felt stronger (butt dyno wise), so I'm hoping it will react better. It should be putting out 18 lbs. and it's only reaching high 16's It's taking forever to get hosed, I ordered them the first week of June, so going on a month.

Hey y'all.
If you get one of these, have a friend or two help install it. Alone it's like wrestling a hot anaconda.
