Awesome, I'm guessing they don't make an exact fit for the RDX

Nope. The RDX style isn't conducive for it.

I wanted to be able to use a thumb drive and bought one of these.

Works quite well. I thought I'd have to build something. So happy I don't need to, I have exhaust stuff coming that can use that time.

None of the local shops can mandrel bend stainless so I need to do the melty blender. 3" thru a 300 series Black Widow out the back with an electric valve sending it thru a 2.5" Dynomax Super Turbo for quiet mode.
One tip quiet or one tip loud. Black Widow produces more area under the curve than any other muffler.

3" slant cut, polished 304 ss double walled tips, so yummy.

I've been watching for used turbochargers so I can send it to Blouch to get upgraded to a 20t for a while. I've seen used ones for up to $1500.00 so I broke down and made the jump on a new one.
Amazon Amazon
for under $1300.00 delivered. I'll call and see if they would be willing to do my bearing upgrade when it comes in.

The new turbo is in customs, coming from Canada, manufactured in China so hoops are involved.

Running wires for the exhaust valve. I tapped into fuse slot 22 which is unused but is switched.

Here's the reason I chose a DynoMax Super Turbo muffler for the back.

Wow! I just ordered a RV6 downpipe and it said 4 to 6 MONTHS lead-time. I guess I should have ordered it before I bought the car.

Lol, they're made to order now. They use to be made in batches. If you ceramic coat add another two weeks to that six months. Totally worth it best modification you can do in my opinion. This is the single best horse power and torque modification on our platform.

Ceramic, Cat and Flashpro, so 2025. I was expecting a couple months, but wow. I'll have plenty of time to make my cat-back and get the turbo upgraded. I was surprised how much power I got from just removing the muffler, using just the mid-pipe with the resonator. I hope it won't be throwing codes when running with the Black Widow and cut-out.

The RV-6 comes with an anti-fouler build in so the only code you might get is the second oxygen sensor reading data slowly and to replace that sensor don't just clear it and it shouldn't come back. If it does reset the battery by unplugging it for more than an hour so it losses it's memory. Plug it back it and you should be code free if installed correctly.

The kicking codes I was referring to is before I receive the RV6 and flashpro, from the 3" cat-back I'm installing. I learned a long time ago to remove neg cable and turn key to start position to discharge system quickly so you dan't have to wait that hour.

It wasn't listed on Amazon, but there is an import duty of over $400.00

Turbo looks nice and new. Maybe even get the exhaust side of it ceramic coated. I also got my manifold ceramic coated when doing this major job.

How did the duty fee work? Did you have to pay this additional tax after receiving? Are you in the states or Canada?

I'm in the US. The bill came from UPS. They asked for it upon delivery but I asked the driver, " Is this on top of the money I've already paid?". She called in and didn't require at delivery. I received a bill in the mail later. And yes, brand new.
Yes I plan on ceramic for the hot side. I emailed Blouch twice and haven't heard back. If I don't hear back soon I'll contact Forced Performance and see if they'd be interested, and maybe go with a titanium wheel. I put their White Rabbit on my '03 EVO 8. It only got 421 awhp at 26psi but the titanium wheel spooled so quickly it provided much more area under the curve (no I didn't keep the dyne graph, or the car).

I've been on pause. I'm working on sound proofing. My over the garage neighbor started working from home and my Everlast PowerTIG 185 DV cooling fan is too loud for the small amount of sound deadening.
Running with just the resonator makes it sound like a jet taking off. The stock exhaust is so restrictive. It's not much louder with normal driving, but when I kick it, it puts out a very loud woosh. I guess the muffler is to stop the woosh.
I also ordered a hitch to make sure I don't block as I run the exhaust. I also changed the weak headlights for some Sylvania ZXE bulbs in
Amazon Amazon
What a difference. Well worth pulling the front bumper.
By The Way, this was my EVO. When I bought it I asked if I could get it without the park bench on the back. I traded it out. The JDM rear bumper brought back most of the downforce. Stable to 155mph.
The AEM 2.3 kit brought up the low end a lot.

are there steps for replacing the headlight bulb? The way you explain the difference makes me want to do it ASAP

are there steps for the resonator removal on the RDX? I remember doing it about ten years ago on my 99 TL

There isn't quite enough room to swap the bulbs without removing the housing. You must remove the front bumper cover and the headlight housings to change them. It's easy, a few screws and pushpins if you have the room to work on it.
I haven't removed the resonator yet. I cut the pipe in front of the rear axel with a sawsall to have room to route and hang the new muffler.

If you order the RV6 downpipe with Flashpro, email them and you can get the Flashpro sooner than waiting for the 4 to 6 months for the pipe. 26 hp with the Flashpro in stock form is a good start.
Then reflash after pipe install.

I received and loaded my Flashpro. With the Flashpro stock tune I picked up 7 MPG in town and it scoots when you add the boot. I can't wait for the upgrades

Since ETS is out of the question I decided to experiment. Says it's good to 400 hp and since I'm targeting 300 awhp It should be adequate. Tube and fin at that price is worth the gamble.

Delivered at 1:00 am

If I don't granny drive, it gets the same MPG after the FlashPro, but that'll change soon
Now to decide where I'll put the new IC. I'm planning on an oversized crossflow radiator, so I'm thinking about using the top mount intake area for the shortest pipes.

How large is that relative to the stock intercooler? Looks quite a bit smaller. Wondering how it will cool with less surface area.

It's a lot longer than stock so it will spend more time inside the stream. It is also tube and fin which clears heat soak faster. As I said before, experimental. For the price, I'll give it a try, if it's not enough, I'll go to this one https://x-ph.com/wagner-tuning-compe...-mustang-2015/ at 10x the price.

Saying 3" exhaust doesn't sound like a big deal, seeing makes more sense.

And once you install it and do some pulls it will sound like a big deal, literally.

Stock on the ILX is what, 2"?

Yes, 2". I'm not doing it for sound, this is choked so badly stock. This will help understand exhaust size per horsepower.

Sorry I missed that you said ILX. The ILX has 2.25" stock, the RDX has 2". I went with 2.5" on the ILX for sound and 3" on the RDX for more powa.
Got my cat back all hooked up. Still running through the stock downpipe with both cats so I'm not going to do a sound clip yet. Funny thing is, the Black Widow Venom 300 alone is quieter than it was with just the stock resonator. It has a nice rumble rather than the loud whoosh when under hard acceleration.
