Premium for the Extended Warranty

Sorry for two questions about cost in the same day, but my car should be here next week and I'm ironing out the final details.

So, I'm interested in knowing what people are paying for the extended warranty from Acura. Please include the years/mileage information.

I know this was touched on in another thread regarding whether to buy the warranty or not, but there wasn't a very large sampling of responses. I'm really not looking for whether someone thinks the warranty is a good idea or not just the cost that other dealers are charging for it.

Thanks again.

About $1250 to extend the warranty to 5 years 100K and $1600 for 6 years 100K, also offers window etching, and other features which I did not take for around $3500. I just took the 5 year 100K.

I was considering the extended warranty, and Curry Acura has pricing available online as well. You do have to provide an e-mail address to get to it, but they send a code for an additional $90 off. Here's the link:

http://www.curryacuracare.com/

There are nine different year/mileage combinations available, each with a $0 or $100 deductible option (though pricing is $100 different, so it's a matter of do you want to pay the deductible for your first claim upfront...)

For purposes of the warranty, the car is considered "new" up until it reaches 6,000 miles. So you can purchase the warranty at any point till then, and doesn't have to be from your dealer.

I got the 7-year 100K mile warranty from the dealer that I bought the car from. I think it was $1650, give or take a few dollars..

hmm... maybe it got caught in your spam filter? the sender would have been support@curryacuracare.com

mine supposedly expires today. if you send me an e-mail at gounu2001-cars@yahoo.com i'll send you my code.

for comparison between Curry and what my dealer quoted last night:

7yr/100k, $0 deductible:
Curry $1,645 (minus $90 with code)
Local - $1,975.

8yr/100k, $0 deductible:
Curry - $1,895 (minus $90)
Local - $2,175
