Sorry if this has been asked before. If all other Hondas and Acuras require their special break-in oil until the first oil change how can the RDX get broken in with Mobil 1 5W-30?

 

not sure what is in there when you get it, however they do advise not to change the oil until asked to by the maintenance minder ESPECIALLY for the first oil change.

 

Maybe, as you suggest, there is normal Honda/Acura break-in oil in there from the factory and Mobil 1 is just to be used at the first oil change and beyond. I am not going to worry too much about the oil as I will probably trade in my RDX at 2 years or 24K, whichever comes first.
