new Acura

Just sharing some excitement. We just bought our 4th Acura yesterday. A brand spanking new 2008 MDX Tech. Silver with light grey leather. Fricking gorgeous.

I thought our RDX had a great interior, but the back seat of the MDX sure makes ours look like a park bench!

I do like our dash and steering wheel better, and love the way the RDX drives but gosh, this MDX sure is a head turner.

started with a 1990 Integra and drove it for 13 years with no problems
2007 RDX tech.
Just traded the 2001 MDX for the 2008 MDX tech.

The MDX is certainly a great car, I couldn't help but get a CX-9, but thats just me. I had a lemon so no more MDX for us.(Acura quickly bought it back which was great.)

Happy trails with the MDX! It certainly is a head turner

Congrats! I love the look of the MDX. No over-styled front end and clean lines all around. Makes the RDX look like its younger, plainer brother.

Yeah, I love the rear end LED tail's too. The MDX's exterior was a home run, took me a while to get used to the front but I loved it.

I do wish the RDX had similar LED tails, but no biggy.

The interior is amazing. So is the RDX, but the back seat is the real difference.

I still like the exterior of the RDX a little more.

Congrats!
It is a cute car. I think it has heated back seats which I liked, but I didn't have a need for the third back seat...if that's what you call it. Price comparison for the base MDX and tech RDX was minimal, and the gas milage difference was minimal too. All in all, I went with the smaller brother cause...well, it was smaller and easier to park, and I wanted a "car" not a big SUV. RDX suited me perfect. But id my fdamily grows, I might consider it!

My impression when I drove both was that the MDX handled really well "for an SUV", but the RDX handled like it wasn't an SUV/CUV, so I was sold on the RDX.

But, the back seat on the MDX blew me away - it felt better than most front seats...

I drove the new MDX quite a bit over the weekend. It is very nice. Very luxurious.
Peppy.
The rear view camera is quite a bit more clear than the RDX (no biggy). I love the memory seats (damn, bought the RDX too early!), the three-zone climate (for the kids in the back) and some other little things like the passenger storage by the feet, the subtle lights at your feet at night. I like how their trunk tray fits the whole trunk (why is the RDX tray so small?? Even the CRV tray fits better)

I find it just made me love my RDX even more. I love the stiffer/sports car-like suspension, the better acceleration and the less cluttered center stack. I also like our steering wheel better and our MID display.

Over all, they are two wonderful vehicles.

Just driving in to work - I really like the RDX better. More snug and sporty.
Works out just great since the MDX is hers and the RDX is mine.

Mine all mine. Now she won't want to drive mine any more!

The depression in the floor is custom sized to match the privacy shelf which is a nice feature (a nice place to stow it when hauling tall items and it provides an even flatter load floor). So, the size of the depression makes sense.

As to why they had to size the trunk tray to the same dimensions, I guess they felt it made for a cleaner fit that way, though that is a weak connection.

All in all, the size of the tray hasn't bothered me. Having it smaller does help keep smaller packages from roaming too far underneath the cargo net so it's 6 of one, half a dozen of the other...
