Has Acura announced...

Has Acura announced the day that they are going to stop making their cars ugly? I look forward to it because otherwise they are great cars.

Even the Hondas are much better looking than the Acuras.

(IMO!)

At this time, no official information has been released to our department regarding the 2010 Acura RDX. However, I was able to locate a tentative release of mid July 2009. I anticipate product information will become available soon.We recommend checking the Acura.com website regularly for updates.

OK...Got this directly via email from Acura today after I emailed them last week.

Hopefully when he says information will be avaible soon, that means EARLY JUNE!

How about you post when you have real info like this!

my local Acura dealer has pained all the TL Grilles to match the body...so i guess, in a way, if the company is not going to do something about it, dealers will take it into their own hands, lol whatever works

I have seen that in a few TLs and it looks muuuuuuch better....not so much chrome, and it kind of disguises the ugliness of it...

The TL is really growing on me looks wise. It's too bad the price/specs are kinda weak compared to the competition.

The G37 is quite a bit faster, performs better, has more options and it slightly smaller for around the same price.

the TL price skyrockets...having the V6 in the TSX makes it even less practicle.

its performance, for that engine, is sort of laughable, you have to wonder where its all going, well, it is an enormous car

the 3GTL did a killing with base models....i cannot move past the new TL base model, its rims look like they came off an old Taurus, the car is just ugly...I will say that I've seen a few SHAWD's on the road and they really do have some polarizing styling, you just look at it, the car is massive and has quite a road presence, but for that kind of cash, you would not find me in an Acura...the money doesnt add up against the competition, g37 or a BMW all day over it.

what really shocked me was that the dealer was painting their STOCK...seems kind of odd, you are taking a chance with cars in your inventory that arent even sold, but i guess the reception must be solid ...i like it painted, plus, you still have the chrome trim around the outside of the grille that accents it

Acuras aren't and never have been ugly. You don't know what you're talking about.

The current RDX is the best
looking Acura IMO.If the nose is
what Acura wants people to look at
then they did a good job, similiar to
the nose on the Audis.

It is extemely difficult to get past the new plenum front bird nose etc.
I have been looking to my next new ride and giving my wife the RDX.

I drove the SHAWD TL nice drive but just not a fan of the exterior at all.

I drove the G37 Coupe a couple days ago and I have to say that car is beautiful thats subjective but man I love the drive and the looks.

I feel the g37 more than likely will be my next ride. The interior of the TL is really nice maybe nice than the G37.

Acuras have never been the best looking cars...the only one I've ever really liked with the new "shield" design is the MDX...and every time I roll next to an Infiniti or Audi I get a little twinge of buyer's remorse.

Then again, I think if Acura ever got their act together and came out with really beautiful cars, they'd jack up their prices even more (they've always wanted to become a higher-tier luxury brand)...so I'm pretty happy with what they have right now.

Some here. I think it's the best all around car out there. I'm likely going to go for the G35 (07/08) simply for price.

I liked the style/design interior of the TL, until you look closely. There is too much cheap plastic IMO. Infiniti isn't the best either, but it does seem higher quality to me material wise and it's very simple to use.

If the TL had the performance to match its outlandish looks, i think alot of the aura surrounding the car would change.

If the TL came out with the in your face styling AND literally threw it down on the road and owned the G or BMW etc...i cant really see styling as a factor....when BMW drastically changed their cars to what they are now...alot of people were scratching their heads....but the styling is backed up. The TL - its just styling, and nothing else about the car makes you move past that fact. The sticker makes you ponder why youd pay for it as well.

I don't know if I would call my Acura Fugly, but there is a lot of room for most cars to grow in the "looks department." Every time I see a European Civic Coupe I just shake my head.

on my list of priorities, exterior styling is pretty low. I can't see the outside while I'm driving, nor do I sit in my driveway and stare at my car anymore.... don't give a rip about what other people think of the car I drive.......

I got a SH-AWD TL for 37500 in late April. Comparably equipped BMW 335xi would have run around 52. I could have gotten the BMW under 50 if I was willing to accept fake leather.
