09 RDX Tech Alarm System Question

Ok, just bought a 09 RDX Tech. Can anyone tell me what category the alarm system is for insurance purposes?

I have Farmers and they list Category I - V. I assume it is a Category II.

Category I - Any of the following:
--an anti-hot-wiring circuit
--an alarm device that is activated by a door sensor, hood sensor, and trunk sensor;
--a window identification system; or
--an armored steel collar that covers the steering column, especially to prevent access to the ignition

Category II - Category I plus anti-hot-wiring circuit, automatic shutoff and reset and two or more of the following:
--glass sensor
--vibration sensor
--motion sensor or
--ultrasonic sensor

Category III - Category II plus a hood restraint and backup battery.

Category IV - Category III plus a system using a passive method of activating or deactivating the alarm system.

Category V - Category IV plus a stolen vehicle recovery system.

I would think with BUILT IN GPS it would be 5 since they could find it tracking it by satellite ...

But I'm probably wrong...just being optimistic!

I'm pretty sure the GPS unit built in is one way. Meaning the car receives signals from GPS satellites to decode its own location, however, nothing is sent "out" from the vehicle to anyone else to tell it of its location.

I would call it Cat IV because merely locking the doors activates the alarm (therefore making it passive).

AcuraLink can send information to/about your car -- so I would imagine they could locate it -- but that's just a wild guess. Even if it can though, I highly doubt anything is officially in place to do so -- which is why they sell lo-jack.
