Do you consider the NSX an "exotic?"
This has been debated to death throughout the years. What is YOUR opinion? Is the NSX truly an exotic? Why? Why not? I'm on the fence with this one.. it certainly does have some exotic qualities:
-mid engine design
-all aluminum body
-exotic looks
-rare and exclusive

I feel the need...
If exotic means rare then If exotic means outright performance, then
Was in high school when the NSX came out and had an instant hard-on. Promised myself that I would own one someday not predicting that Honda would pull the plug (prematurely imo). Now that I can afford one, they are out of production and I'm not fond of used cars.
I've said this before, but one of the worst mistakes Honda made was not continuously improving performance incrementally like Porsche does with the 911. The NSX truly could have been an Icon, now its just fond memories...
Don't get me wrong, I still love it and think it is a great car. But I don't put it in the exotic category.

i always though exotic meant rare, like hard to obtain expensive etc etc.
so that means i would call it an exotic, but then i think of the performance of all other exotics. so

Yea Honda definitely fucked up on that one. I don't understand why companies even halted production of the car entirely. They could've at least limited production to have the cars retain value.

The first and IMO only Japanese exotic.
It was a true gamechanger too, forcing the Europeans to improve their cars.

I could care less...I love my NSXs, and always will. I almost bought a Ferrari F355 GTB a few months ago and had to laugh when the Ferrari dealer told me not to buy it. Usually not a good sign when the dealer says, 'That car is a maintenance night mare....stay away from it,' and he is serious.

Um, duh, yes it's an exotic?
I'm hoping that Honda FINALLY halts production of the S2000 so the value of mine is better maintained, like the NSX.

yes, only 8500 were made in 15 years of production, and to top that it's a car that made ferrari quiver when it came out, it caused innovation in the designs of cars and motors, and to top it all, it was a fast car that could always be a daily driver.

Just in case anyone doubts that number.

the NSX is exotic IMO because it has many qualities that an exotic car has. the only reason its underpowered is because of its time frame. i doubt the 2011 NSX would have less than 450HP.

I would say yes it is an exotic, but man does anyone else think there is too much family resemblance between the NSX, 2nd gen. Legend coupe, and '98-'02 Accord Coupe? Sure the Legend and Accord coupes have a classic look, but that's not really good for the NSX.

ive see RSX's with more power than some ferrari's. that doesnt mean its an exotic.

the NSX is that shy flawless looking woman you just want a little more out of...you want her to come to you, to make you go nuts without hesitation...
and an NSX can do that for me. going fast is overrated. NSX is fast enough, cruise on!

I'm not really sure about exotic. I say this tongue in cheek but it's kinda like Z06 exotic. I still want one though because I don't care if it is "exotic" or not. Rare is what I like. Everyone and their grandpa has a Vette.

Absolutely. I think the NSX is one of the best supercars ever made to boot too...
