Unhappy a weird rattling from the passenger rear fender area

just all of the sudden ive been hearing a rattle from my passenger side rear fender.

its a loud rattle i usually hear from 40-50mph, once i apply the breaks the noise goes away and will come back when i hit 40-50 again.

if anyone has ANY idea of what this could be please feel free to give me a shout

it started around the time after i got my last tire rotation,
thanks for any ideas anyone might have, zack

the fact that the sound goes away doesnt make it for sure the brakes but id look at the back pads and caliper bolts.

okay so after spending hours reading about everyones problems i was reading the RL guys have had problems with their emergency break cable coming loose and hanging down making a noise coming from the rear fenders, any chance CL's could have this too??

Just my two cents.. I heard a wierd rattle sound in my rear fender the other day, after a little investigation it was only my mud flap flapping in the wind at around 55mph lol

yup, could be. again the fact that it goes away when you hit your brakes means the pressure created stopped the sound. a loose cable will rattle and bang and when the hydraulic pressure is applyed a lose cable gets tight and or moves a little. if its a caliper or pad thr hydraulic pressure will do the same, sound stops.

This just happened to me the other day. I kept hearing a plasticy bobbling noise on large bumps and after getting out and looking twice, I gave up and said I'd figure ity out when I got home. 5 minutes later on the highway I got my answer when the front half of the fenderliner fell onto the tire and by the time I stopped it had already eaten a whole through it. When I did my intake, I broke a few clips and didn't have enough replacements so I said f-it. Lesson learned!
I also have a bobbling noise in my rear passenger side. Have had 3 mechanics pry around in the suspension and they say the bushings are fine. I've given up and just drive the mofo with that clunk. lol

i think he means the right rear quarter panel? at the back of the car?
if so, i would lift the car and shake parts..everything, check for play, movement, loose nuts anything to duplicate the noise. also- spare tire jack- i dont remember if it was on that side or not but sometimes they *jump* out of place and could cause a lot of noise. let me know what fixes it!

lol, yah i know, we just took off with the post a little, sorry, but my advice was the same give or take.
yes, that heavy ass jack is on that side (back passenger).
that could very well be the cause of the sound.
