Remote Start
Remote Start
ok so I finally hooked up the remote start part to my car now. I go to hit the remote start button, the engine turns on and immideatley turns off? wuts up with that. I read the manual and it says if your car has an immobilizer than the immobilizer will cut the fuel and/or spark. So my question is do we have an immobilizer and if so how do I get it so it can run??
Wow i get to finally post about something i MAY know about. I had a similar problem with my remote start. My first question would be does the motor actually crank. If not you may be running into something similar to my problem. I had a bulb in my tail light that was not functioning right. What happens, or at least how it was explained to me, the car begins to start, but because the lights are one circuit the car thinks the brake pedal is pushed and then turns its self off. Not sure if that made any sense at all to you or if that will even help ya out. But all I had to do to fix mine was replace the bulb in my taillight. Hope this at least helps some.
The problem was that there is a remote start activation wire, the schematic said to wire this to a switch than ground it. Well i just grounded it cuz I didn't want a switch. Well I guess the wire is able to start the car with a push-button, so alls it was was a simple little wire that turned the car off.
