Problem with Key/Alarm

I have a '97 Acura 3.0CL and whenever I try to unlock the door with a key, the alarm goes off. Whenever I unlock with the remote, it's fine. Why does it go off and if I can fix it, how? This happens with both keys. Do 97s not have chipped keys or something?

yes as far as i know, the keys have xponder chips in them. you have to disable the alarm to keep it from setting itself. why would you use the key anyways if your remote works?

if you want to use your keys then dont use the remote...you cant just unlock the door without disabling your alarm....basically dont use your remote....

actually 97's don't have chipped keys. And there are 2 wires from the key cylinder in your door that goes to the alarm. I'm not quite sure wut color they are but you can get a schematic from a tech book.
