Problems with 98 cd player
Problems with 98 cd player
I recently purchased a 1998 OEM CD player to replace my 1999 CD player which no longer plays CD's. After taking everything apart and hooking in the 98 CD player it would not play CD's. Unlike my 99 CD player it actually gets to track 1 but no music plays. The odd thing is that it plays the radio perfectly fine. I did also notice that there is no BOSE logo near the acura logo on top. Would this possibly mean anything? Could someone tell me what to do or possibly tell me what happen? Thanks.
Thanks for the help.
Thanks for the help.
Was your 1999 CD player a Bose? And is your 1998 replacement CD player a Bose as well? If not, then that's your problem. From what I hear, you can't swap OEM Bose CD players with non-Bose CD players, and vice-versa. And if your radio is working perfectly, that's a good indication that the problem isn't speaker-related. I hope this helps. Good luck.
probably something with the CD mechanisms i take it since my other ideas would mean no sound at all, but you said the radio is still good and fine
I was assuming at 1st that the Bose system had an external amplifier and it wasnt sending signals to the amp......... but thats not it

I honestly dont know what the deal is, that 2nd thing was an assumption, but it cant be true since the radio works fine unless the radio is totally separate from the CD player.... I mean I dunno what the deal is with this thing
