I flushed using TexasHonda's method, still dirty

I did a tranny flush with Texas Honda's method (disconnected the supply line to the cooler). I checked my dipstick a few days later, it's leveled off but there is old fluid in there that is not mixing with the new fluid. I can see the old fluid and new fluid on the dip stick, it's swirly but not mixing together (not really like oil and water). I can see red (new fluid) and black (old fluid) swirled into each other.

The tranny started shifting hard again and holding 3rd gear too long. PLEASE help ASAP cause I don't have $ for rebuild.

How many quarts total have you replaced? Sometimes its necessary to do a 3x3x3 change, 9 qts total to remove as much fluid as possible. I believe a lot of the fluid is held in the torque converter, and it can take a few drains to get good results. The key with tranny flushes is consistent intervals (every 20-30k etc). I know its hard to do when buying a used car though, thats why i wont touch my fluid, dont know if its original(125k) even though its pretty dark.
Another important question is were there a lot of metal shavings the drained out when you replaced your fluid? those are usually a sign of your tranny being toast

It took 4 or 5 quarts until it was clean fluid coming out the tranny supply line. Then I had to add in another quart or so after all lines were connected again.

My question is, do I do another flush at this point with the same method to get out this other fluid that doesn't seem to be mixing in with the new fluid? I have never seen such a thing

No Texas just told me to disconnect the supply line to the tranny cooler, nothing else. Should I do that on my next oil change?

To be honest, I tried, but I couldn't get it opened so I just did the cooler line.

Well, that's why you still have dirty fluid, you need to drain it out of the main tranny case also, I think TH's suggestion was in addition to draining the main tranny to ensure that you got all the dirty fluid out

Total fluid capacity is almost 8 qts. I don't think you kept flowing long enough to clear all the old fluid.

good luck

yes that's because the supply line going to the cooler has passed the filter and solenoid screens already in the one way fluid direction.it does nothing but pump it out.it doesn't clean anything but the cooler supply line and clean past the point of the solenoid.
