Transmission Fluid

So within this past one month (july), during the beginning of july (july 1st), i changed my transmission fluid once, doing just a drain and refill. Up until a weekish later, i decided to change my transmission fluid once again and the fluid drained out was light brown. As so i've read tons of information here in acurazine about 3x3 drain and refills, i decided instead of doing that and wasting the fluid, i would change my fluid like once a month or so 3 times for the 3x3 instead. My question is that, why was my tranny fluid brown after changing my fluid a week and a half ago? my mechanic says its because the old fluid mixed with the new, but does that really a reasonable logic to follow? Is it true? This is my second time changing my fluid and the fluid is light brown. Will doing it again help me? or is my tranny just overheating and dying? it drives and shifts fine, although just a slight jerk at 1-2nd gear when i let off the gas pedal before it shifts fully. any help will be appreciated!
Is it normal for my transmission fluid colour to be honey light brown? I have never done a 3x3 drain and refill before, if that info helps. My TL has 250000 KM on the odometer.

It's alright. The tranny holds something like 9L of fluid. When you do a drain and fill you only get 3L out. It's gonna mix with the old fluid as soon as yours gonna drive it. Do a couple more drain and fills and your fluid will look a lot better.

It's called a 3x3 because when you drain your fluid you only get about 3 quarts at a time. The new stuff fluid mixes with the old fluid. Just as Eddie said, do it two, maybe 3 more times, and it'll look better.

You can also change the 3rd and 4th gear pressure switches and that may help too. Also resetting the ECU may help too.

New ATF fluid is dyed red to distinguish it from other fluids, but after a period of time it will change color, perfectly normal.
