Flickering lights and clicking

Whenever my car is in park and the lights are on, my lights begin to flicker. Headlights, taillights, and all the lights on the interior. Also, i hear a clicking noise coming from underneath the shifter. I have no idea whats causing this? anyone know any possible problems?

Also, my mirror adjustor switch is all effed up. the mirrors dont move in the direction i press on the button, and it wont move up and down, only left and right. any suggestions? thanks

Flickering lights, especially when the turn signals are on, are a known problem for CLs. I don't know of any fix for it. It isn't as bad when I have my climate control fan on at least 2. If my CC is off, the problem gets worse. For what it's worth, I hear a clicking underneath the gear shift when I step on the brake. It does not sound like your alarm is going off. If your alarm was going off, the car would be immobilized (if you have a 98 or 99 only).

I had the dealer bypass the ELD and it fixes the flickering light problem with the blinkers on. Search for a thread started by me for more info.

97's are not equipped with an immobilizer. I've had a 97 and a 98 so I would know. The 97's alarm went off all the time and you could start the car and drive off with the alarm still blaring.
