My driver side door won't open from inside. It opens fine from outside both in the locked and unlocked state. Has anyone encountered this before?? IF so, please let me know what the fix...

does it feel like it's engaging at all?
maybe a cable came off?
Open up the door and check it out

sounds like the rod is no longer attached to the interior handle.

you need to remove the door panel and check it out. usually there's a little plastic piece that breaks off,

this same thing just happened to my boss's Legend a few days ago

i'd say its about an hr of labor plus parts, it'll depend on what exactly broke. IMHO you can do this very easy yourself, the door panel has like 5 screws and comes off, from there you'll have a exposed door handle and should see the rod no longer connected to the handle. you might be able to replace the broken plastic part, or get a whole new interior door handle.

search for window regulator replacement, that has the DIY for removing the door panel.

Once you're in there, everything is right in front of you, pretty easy to fix.

Hey dude

This happended to me.

ALl you need to do is check the door handle. The chrome handle that is inside the door. Take the Black plastic part out and remove it. But i new one. Its usually because it broken piece that doesn't catch the cable.

Good luck

This same exact problem happened to me last night as I got home from the worst night of work ever!!!

I'm so happy I didn't post another useless thread about this because this was exactly what I was looking for.

Anyways, guess i'm opening the door panel up soon.

So... anybody know the exact part I need to get? Or should I just drop the car off at my mechanic?

This plastic piece, can you buy it separate at dealership, Honda and /or Acura? I replaced my lock actuator, pretty proud, tougher job than I thought. I have it all back together and I am missing the plastic piece on inside door handle, no idea what happened to it.
