dash don't work.

Hi.About 2 years ago my dash went out,speedo-gas gauge-oil-tach,everything stopped working.I enquired about getting it checked and the acura dealer said there's 5 miles of wiring and at $85 an hour it could get costly.I left it and 2 weeks later everything came back.
It happened again today.Everything stopped working.
Has this happened to anyone else?
Any ideas?
Car is a 1997 acura cl 3.0 liter.About 120,000 miles.
Thanks.

Hasn't happen to be, but try the following:

Check the following fuses:

Under-Hood Fuse/Relay Box: No15 (100A); No16 (50A)
Under-Dash Fuse/Relay Box: No9 (7.5A); No4 (7.5A); No1 (10A)

Check the connection to the gauge. There should be three harnesses on the back of the gauge. Make sure this is tightly secured.

Make sure the ground for those are secure. One of them is behind the right kick panel connected to a main harness. The other is on the under the middle of the dash on the left side.
