Checking timing on a 2.2 CL?

Checking timing on a 2.2 CL?
I went to check my timing on my 97 2.2 CL and I couldn't find the timing marks on the crank and also the timing pointer on the timing cover sticks out way further than the one on my 95 accord F22b1 so that is throughing me off.
Is there a different way to check timing on my CL than my accord?
