P0138 - O2 Circuit High Voltage Bank 1 Sensor 2

If thats the case, its most likely just the aft cat 02 sensor.

i dont think there is a single chemical that can help anything in the exhaust. hows the car running? bad MPG may mean a clogged cat in some cases, which may throw off the code... im not sure, but if there is no difference what-so-ever, it may just be the rear o2 sensor. easy fix too

Before you do anything, try the following
1. turn on the headlights
2. disconnect the battery and wait 15 minutes(leave the headlights on)
3. reattach the battery and start the engine

I have 99 5sp, the engine light stayed on even after I changed the O2 sensor, and the convertor. I even bought a OBD reader to reset it (worked for 1 day, then it came back on!)

The light has been off since I performed the above procedure 3 weeks ago

Good Luck!
