tint on the reverse lights ryan?

 

looks kinda weird IMO, but lots of things look weird in pics look sick in reality, how did you do it tho? unless it's photoshop then i don't wanna know

 

Yup, tinted the reverse lights. And personally, I didnt like the little pinkish tinted reverse lights, so I decided to just get rid of them. Alot of cars are doing subtle tints with the clear lenses on their tails and keeping the rest red, I liked the look and figured I'd try it out. I think it looks pretty dec in pics/and in person.

 

i cant really tell if i like it or not..can you get a closer pic of them?? never seen this on a cl, so props for that

so is it just the rockblocker film that you cut little pieces just to go over the reverse lights. Or did you spray tint.... i was thinking bout doing the same kinda thing but i thought if i put the film only on a portion of the light then there would be corners and edges that pressure washers etc. would start to get at and peel that film back...

 

Its spray tint. a couple little imperfections, but im not too worried about it. Re-painted the grille as well and that looks FLAWLESS. until a rock chips it. but right now it looks extremely good.

and i'm assuming you just taped off the rest of the tail light and sprayed the little section, what kinda spray tint did you use?
i was thinking the same thing but to try and tint the inside of them as it may look cleaner.. i haven't seen either tho so i couldn't say forsure

 

inside would look cleaner, but itd be a different look. i kinda like mine as is. And yeah, I'll be taking some pics soon enough. I'm debating stealing my moms new camera or not...

and yeah I just taped around the reverse light, wetsanded, sprayed VHT tint spray off ebay til darkness then clear coated a couple times.

Surprisingly you can still see the reverse lights through them as well

 

haha yeah, i dont know how that worked out..theyre pretty much sheets of black vinyl..just like my window tint. but somehow light shines through. I'll post pics soon enough with a decent camera. I have some on my camera phone but they wont do it justice.
