DIY - Need your help

If you have guides or are willing to make some guides for members of the site it would be appreciated. I can help with any hosting of pics or the guide itself, just let me know.

In this thread you will see requests members make. Any help that you can provide would be greatly apreciated

Post the write up and link it here, or you can PM the guide if you want and i'll give you my e-mail. Whatever works best. Also if you guys see any errors or want to add anything to an existing DIY, please let me know asap.

Thanks in advance!

Klepto,

I would like to help with an overhaul of the DIY section. I was thinking folders / stickies at the top like:

-Interior
-Paint
-Oil
-Performance
-Engine maintenence
-1st gen specific audio

etc

OR at the very least have a master list with a tree of walkthroughs. As it is there is great info strewn all over the forum (Even some in 2nd gen) that could be very beneficial if brought together here. I am a pretty experienced forum user and I still have a hard time finding previously covered info frequently.

I have a pdf file (Wagner Brake Fax newsletter) that explains how to remove wheel hub and rotor from the wheel knuckle on Accords, Acura CL's or TL's. Can you help w/ hosting this to allow others?

thanks

the location of the air filter varies from engine size, if you have a 2.x it will be on the passenger side and if you have a 3.0 it will be on the drivers side. I see you have a 3.0 so yours will be on the drivers side right behind the battery. You screw off the top and change the filter. if you are wanting after market parts you may find the 94-97 accord parts easier than cl parts. There were no accord with a 3.0 (that i know of) so it will have to be from a 98-02 accord (I think) but if the breather is made for a 3.0 accord it should work

hi, if your refering to my post, thanx for the reply, every1 here has been a help. but the air filter isnt the problem, found that and slaped in a k&n and fabed the air box for a cowel scoup (will post pics when done) but a friend of mine that had a 2.2 cl sayed he had an air breather, not air filter or pcv but air breather and sayed i have one, and in searching i found conflicting answers as to if my 97 3L has such a thing. i guess i should invest in the owners manual.
