I think it's kinda hard to sell the car for a parts car when alot of the parts are already missing. Especially for the buy it now price of $4000!! The tailights are gone as is the fender, bumper and alot fo the interior. Not too many parts lefts besides the engine and tranny. No ones gonna pay $4000 for that.

 

im sure he wanted to make money on the engine
still a lil over priced though

If you start adding up the cost of what's done to the engine then the price doesn't seem all that high. I'd be surprised if he got $4000 out of it, but he probably put that much into the engine alone.

I was hoping to sell whats left of the car for someone to use the engine and tranny. I am a student and havent been able to take the time out to deal with getting the car towed, engine and tranny removed, and deal with freight shipping and all that (im usually not even in the same state as the car). It is correct that there is over 5 grand in the engine and tranny alone, and it only has 7k miles on the built block. If anyone in the surrounding area wants to come help me get the stuff out my current offers are $2500 for the engine and $500 for the tranny. I would prefer to sell local than deal with freight.

 

What tranny is in it? h22 lsd? and ur asking 3k for both?

its the stock jdm lsd tranny, M2B4. 3k for both cash and carry once i get them out (hoping by friday). moms is gettin mad the car is still in the garage taking up her space and i was only gonna get 1200 salvage for the car from insurance.

 

nobody interested? block has $1700 just in machine work, add rods, pistons, head studs, head gasket, assembly, etc. you are gettin over $2500 worth of stuff on top of what the engine would cost.
