WTF should i do?

OK, about a month ago, (maybe more) I was selling my 18" Konig Verdicts. I sold them to Tmoth, and he paypaled me the money. $800. I sent him a lot of pics, and he knew that the wheels were "perfect" and the tires had camber issues. I payed for $800 worth of insurance, and when the wheels got to Tmoth they were all scratched up. He filed for the insurance money, and UPS denied the claim because they said it was "insuficient packaging"!

I talked to some bitch on the phone who told me they would call me back to talk about it, and she still hasn't!

To make a long story short, my dads business is an authorized UPS shipper, I left the wheelswith them, and some towels to wrap them in, along with the key for the wheel caps. The key never got to Tmoth, and only 1 wheel had a towel on it! What the fuck can we do??!! Now the wheels are back at my dads office, all scratched up, while we await the insurance money for Tmoth. I hate for him to be out of this $$$ for so long, so does anyone have an idea of how we can settle this with UPS? Thanks.

Hate to say it but do you think maybe your dads office should be responsible? Maybe they didnt package the items suficiently? Just a humble mans opinion.

I guess you could say that, but still, the boxes must have been thrown around so damn much for fucking cardboard to scratch the wheels. I was pretty pissed when i found out that the towels weren't wrapped around the wheels, and the key was missing.

I was really looking for some advice about how i could deal with UPS, or if we have any chance of getting the money from them.

Sounds like maybe you should talk to a lawyer. Big companies know that they can push the little guys around so you should threaten the supervisor, whoever the lady was you talked to, and tell her that if she can't handle the situation you'll hire a lawyer to do so.

that's shitty, when I ship wheels, which i've done many times I just cover the face and rear w/ a piece of cardboard and tie it up. Haven't had a problem to this day

Yeah - this is a bad situation. I know it wasnt SooDARKs (Ryan) fault and I was anticipating a refund from UPS. When the rims showed up there was only one towel and the boxes had obviously been tossed around... Damn UPS! Now I have been out $800 for a month and a half and Ryans dad now has the wheels and tires again. I have been really understanding and I want this to work out reasonable (Ryan has also been doing what he can to help)... Hopefully somebody has a good suggestion on what we can do - I just want my $800 back

Tony

Oh, and I found out the hard way that Verdicts are a pain to ship because the spoke sticks out further than the rim of the wheel... I assume this is why they got so scratched up because all of the scratches were in the same area on the wheels...

I bought my old velox wheels off ebay and the dude stacked the muther fuckers on top of each other, and they were still fine. UPS must have dropped these things alot.

Tony-my dad is getting the rims polished so i can resell them, and give you the money, just incase UPS keeps being so gay.
