I think you just uncovered a scammer. Check out his feedback and he has another item that was just a test as well so he obviously knows how to post. I think he is driving up his positive rating - something Ebay tries to control. What these people do is come up with multiple Ebay names -easy to do- buy and sell to yourself, give yourself postive feedback, and there you go. Now you can fool people into thinking you are a trustworthy Ebay'er. I should outbid him at the last second, post negative feedback and mess up his plans... my 2 cents

 

That deuce-six bid is me - it's up there as an item for a dollar so I want to see what they're going to give me under our 'contractual agreement'. It will be worth a dollar to me if I can get into a fight over it...

 

It's just eBay doing a test auction. Not really that hard to figure out.
