Weird Issues, Episode 3 (Getting better but not quite there)

Ok, so ive fixed every single problem in my list except one!

My brake lights still dont light up. I checked the "stop light" fuse thats 20a under the hood and it is fine, i replaced it just to be sure, and they still dont work.

From what i can tell from teh Haynes wiring diagram....the only thing between the taillamps and the fuse is the pedal switch, but they dont work even when i fiddle with it on my own, with my finger and stuff.

Is there any other fuse/relay or anything that I can check to see why this happened?

Also, all 3 brake lamps stopped working all at once, it is somehow possible they just all 3 blew up at one time?

wow, have you checked all the connections, and have you checked the wiring, cause i highly doubt all 3 went out at the same time. also, check any relays.....just a thought

After looking through the manual, the relays seem to have nothing to do with the brake lamp functions.

They are simply 3 lamps, to the switch, to the fuse. Thats it.

So im not sure where its messing up.

My only thought right now, is that a surge or something happened and blew the lamps but not the fuse? Dunno.

Infact, ill go out there right now and see if the filaments are busted.

Did you check to see if the bulb is burned out in the 3rd brake light, or do u have a wing?

Ok...

I went out there, the third brake light (not on the spoiler) wont light up no matter what. I took the two side brake lights out and sat them insid the trunk, and looked through the backseat hole as i pushed hte pedal....it seems they worked most of the time, but would cut off every few pedal pushes.

I got a 14mm wrench and tightened the pedal swithc down as far as it could go, and it took care of the lights just quitting after a few pushes, so i think i have it solved. However, my third brake light (not spoiler) doesnt ever light up when i push the pedal and it doesnt look burnt out because the filaments are fine, and there is no scorching.

Yes i do have a spoiler.

The 3rd brake light doesn't light up if you have a spoiler, cuz the 3rd brake light is the led bar on the wing. There if no wiring harness for that brake light on your top deck, it's connected to the wing instead

oh ok. That makes sense.

Why was Acura numbnuts enough to keep the third brake light on there if they were gonna put LED bar on the spoiler?

It was never just the third light out, it was all of them.

But tightening the switch seems to have had a positive effect. So i'll see how that works out over the next few days.
