i think you were quicker because your intake had nothing blocking it and thus could suck up a whole bunch of air. I dont think you shaved off 2 10ths because you took off a 4 lb headlight

head light has got 2 be less than 4 lbs, that shit is more like 1.5

on some real sh*t , how can we make our car extremely lighter for around 500-1000 bucks?

i can feel u on this note because i have a huge box and towels/blankets in the trunk and i figure

if i get rid of that shit and make a smaller box + carbon fiber parts + maybe getting rid of the

wipers / wiper motor + no spare + (bueller , ..... anyone ? )

i read in an old honda tuning about them cutting up an old 17sec sentra...they took and cut apart everything but the frame and seats and with all the weight gone..it ran a 14.x.....so just chop your car up and itll be fast

basically, its .1 for every 100lbs

so back seat + spare + jack = .1-.2

if you take out all the engine plastics, smaller battery, racing seats, door skins, radio, speakers, center console, and unbolt the exhaust system you would start to see real gains...

the best way to lose weight is to buy a CAI, header, catback, and aftermarket CD player and speakers. they all weigh less than their stock counterparts and make you go faster ....whee!

oh, and ill sell you my 13" rims off my 1983 accord hatchback. FULL alloys.....

after market speakers generally have heavier magnets and also more resilient cones, which often weigh more..... after market decks have more powerful amplifiers and have additionsl inputs and outputs, often making them heavier as well.

your catback would have to be made of titanium before it made a difference, the muffler is where the weight is.

Change all your windows to the T-fal plastic windows like the ones in nascar I think you can get them from the nopi online catalogue, get a carbon fiber hood and go with 16" light weight rims. These mods should shave off some weight.
