Like?.................Lexus? Nissan? Infiniti? Ford? Hyundai? BMW?
ALL the others......RIGHT....
performance and bang for the buck.......yeah, I forgot about the Prelude, RSX type-S, Integra GS-R and Type-R, TSX, and older model NSX's. All to be had under 20G's.
I hope you like your squeaks, rattles, shimmies, loose nuts and bolts, recalls and 3 star safety rating. Good luck on the reliability factor on the first turbo dodge ever.........
If I took a shit and certified it, all it means is that it's a certified piece of shit.

The colbalt ss is actually faster than an RSX type-s, I know it's off the topic but just wanted to add to legendarycl98 statement. I also heard an aftermarket company is making a kit for the SC that is going to put the colbalt in the mid 13 sec 1/4 mile range for under 800 bucks.

which of the prelude, rsx, tsx will keep up in a straight line??
the type R is close, but still a 14.5
yes NSX, for $15 grand??

Lexus, what can you buy for $$$15k?
Nissan 350 z,not real cheap like $35, right?( I could buy 2 srt 4's and 2 turbo stage 2 set ups, and both would whip the 350 z
Hyundai ???????? the Tiburian, 15.5 is the best 1/4 I saw, maybe another $3000, and we'll talk, but it's a hyundai, speaking of first time fast cars by a manufacturer, don't forget, Dodge had been working with the Viper and srt 10 truck, and coming out with the new Charger
The only other Honda comparably fast is the s2000, which is out of the budget, and the NSX, which isn't even in the equation, and the NSX is the only one that will keep up in a straightline, I even saw a supercharged nsx pulling 13.6
but I still hold to the fact that for the money, it would be hard to find even a honda used that's better bang for buck, stock that is, but who knows, we'll see!!
by the way s2000 14's, nsx 13.8 vs. srt 4 13.9
srt 4 with $1500 agp turbo kit............. 11's!!
911 turbo 11's
viper 11's
honda with $30,000....... 11's
and handling, read motor trend in january, slaloms at 66.6 mph, better than a ferrari maranello, stops from 60 mph in 112 feet, better than a lamborghini
but, if it falls apart, I can always get another car,I must say the reliability of the Ac was sweet!!!

I guess I did compare the 350 z at a new price, but even used I think they are like $30, but anyways, I love honda, but for now, I felt like splurging on performance, I will miss the heated leather though, damn!

SRT-4
Standard Engine 2.4L 230 hp I4
Horsepower 230 @ 5300 RPM
Torque (lb-ft) 250 @ 2200 RPM
One look reveals the probable character of the beast, so let's just cut right to the quick. The Neon SRT-4 rips to 60 mph in 5.6 seconds, to 100 in 13.8, covers a quarter-mile in 14.2 seconds at 102 mph, and keeps on huffin' all the way to 153 mph.
Clearly, this is no ordinary Neon. An ordinary Neon ?even a mildly breathed-on Neon, such as the R/T version we tested in November 2001 ?hits 60 two seconds later (7.6), 100 mph nearly 10 seconds later (23.2), and the quarter-mile in 16.1 at 87. That particular Neon topped out at 125 mph.
i couldnt find exact stats..
RSX-S
Standard Engine 2.0L 210 hp I4
Horsepower 210 @ 7800 RPM
Torque (lb-ft) 143 @ 7000 RPM
Zero to 60 mph: 6.2 sec
Zero to 100 mph: 16.6 sec
Street start, 5-60 mph: 6.9 sec
Standing 1/4-mile: 14.9 sec @ 95 mph
Top speed (drag limited): 136 mph
Braking, 70-0 mph: 181 ft
Roadholding, 300-ft-dia skidpad: 0.86 g
EPA fuel economy, city driving: 23 mpg
C/D-observed fuel economy: 22 mpg
Cobalt SS
Standard Engine 2.0L 205 hp I4
Horsepower 205 @ 5600 RPM
Torque (lb-ft) 200 @ 4400 RPM
Transmission: 5-speed manual
Wheelbase: 103.3 in
Length/width/height: 180.5/68.4/55.6 in
Curb weight: 2900 lb
C/D-estimated performance:
Zero to 60 mph: 6.1 sec
Zero to 100 mph: 16.0 sec
Standing 1/4-mile: 14.7 sec @ 97 mph
Top speed (drag limited): 140 mph
Projected fuel economy (mfr's est):
EPA city driving: 23 mpg
EPA highway driving: 29 mpg
overall though.. the dodge neon creams both RSX and Cobalt.. so he made a good choice buying the neon IMO.. but.. looks wise.. RSX and Cobalt are sweeter..

Well I was in a similar situation and I traded my CL in on a 2005 Scion tC - really love it! I needed a good everyday car and wanted brand new - plus it was pretty cheap. Also with the turbo kits coming out they have been pushing over 320hp on stock internals so far...
https://acurazine.com/forums/car-talk-5/scion-tc-makes-327whp-320-ft-lbs-165703/ - Many other threads on other forums as well...
Plus you will soon have the option for the factory TRD supercharger if you want to keep your warranty. There is already a huge aftermarket for this car and keeps growing. Here is a pic of what my car will look like - I bought my car and wheels to find out that there is a similar car with the same setup. Oh well I guess...
I will have approx $18.5K in the car setup like this - just waiting for the turbo kits to become production...

Hey Fizzle what do u NOT like about your TC?
I didnt like the seats, cant support a fat guy like me.
Sunroof is amazing.
No one mentioned the New Accord V6 6speed
3.0L V-6 SOHC SMPI 24 valve engine
6-speed manual transmission with overdrive
$26,000,

Well, if I had to pick what I dont like, is that it isnt the luxury like the CL was. I was used to the heated leather seats - nice here in the winter in MT. I only weight 150lbs so the seats are quite comfortable to me however. Also, it runs pretty strong, but you can tell it is a little heavy at like 2800lbs. Would be quicker if it was about 400 pounds lighter, but it is because of the dual sunroofs and stuff. Handles much better once you lower it and put on the TRD rear sway bar. I like that the back seats recline and that it is a hatchback although it looks like a coupe. I cant believe how much car you get for the money with it!!! My buddy has an xB, and I like it - but the tC is a completely different vehicle! It has some luxury here and there though - like the Full Auto Windows (up and down) for both driver and passenger controls, and other neat little things. It is really solid and a quiet ride. Feels really well built.
I didnt realize how old my CL felt until I started looking at new cars, lol! I orignally wanted to just get a fast sporty car, but I needed a car for the real world and the tC is great. I am still in the market for a used 240SX to be my "fun and fast" car. I would highly reccomend the tC and the whole Scion brand to anybody who asks. The one thing is that right now the tCs are in high demand and a lot of dealers dont have many/any on the lots. I had to wait about a month to get mine. Also there is only one Scion dealer in the state of Montana, and I dont like that particular dealer (offered me $5K trade on my CL), so I got my car out of Spokane WA (gave me book value of $7.5K on trade all over the phone - never even saw the car). A bit of a drive, but worth it! Also with the Scion it is all pure pricing - no haggling the dealers so you always get the best price.

no, I think you said 600 under sticker, that would be $20,595.00 +tax, tag, fee.

a nice late 90's SC400 with a twin turbo setup=20G's
with 150,000 miles, you forgot new engine, tranny, and twin turbo support,
so $40,000 total??
Actually, a new 350Z starts at 27G's M.S.R.P ...I could see a 2003 base go for 20G's
actually, 350 z is $34,180 new
I didn't say first time fast cars......I was speaking of Dodge's first turbo 4cyl. car
dodge daytona?
yeah, there is a point to be made of honda not having super fast cars in the 1/4 mile.......but then again...honda COULD trade off about 100K miles of reliability of a moderately-fast car for a 13 second 1/4 mile.....oh wait...then it would be like a domestic.
I was comparing performance only, and I still love Honda
a car that's already turbo that does 14.2 stock.....is now gonna do 11's with 1500 bucks? can you say "engine go boom"?
it's still 11 seconds, check out the thread under street racing "took out an SRt-4"
my 1999 miata had a better slalon speed...it was like 68-69 M.P.H....does that mean it's better than a Ferrari? No. And stops are measured 70MPH to 0, not 60 MPH to 0, and you can't sit here and tell me an SRT-4 does ANYTHING performance wise better than an Enzo.....yeah it's hella money but don't compare apples to oranges
it simply outperformed the ferrari 575 Maranello in the slalom, and stopped shorter than the lamborghini, I didn't say it is a better car, just performance
Ferrari 575 Maranello $241,092
Lamborghini Gallardo $187,959
Srt 4 $21,960
I would never compare the cars, I just quoted Motor Trend in it's performance test, and take it up with them why they used 60 feet instead of 70
January 2005 issue
where did I say Enzo ?? ($652,830 by the way)

first off, nothing wrong with delivering pizza. i said gay pizza guy. and second i dont understand why someone would get rid of a perfcetly good car for a shitbox that is faster. And by shitbox i mean SHITBOX. Virtually EVERYTHING in the car is downgraded quite a few notches other than the speed. Dodge cant even get the original neon right so how do you expect them to get this one right. Not trying to be a dick, just trying to make him realize what he has done.
