I think this has been mentioned here before. But, when i first bought my car, i heard that you could get a light installed on your dash that tells you when VTEC is engaged. Does anybody know how to go about getting this done, and how exactly does it work?

i heard this too, but i dont know if it can cuase any complications. just go buy an intake and ull hear vtec along with every1 else on the road at the time. screw the light.

I forget what the topic was but someone wanted to know when vtec kicked in so i brought up the VTEC light that i saw someone put in on their accord on another forum. I went to look for the instructions the guy posted but the other forum had problems and everything seemed to have been erased so i couldnt find the them. Sorry i cant help you more all i know is there is an empty light up thing next to the cruise control light and thats were they put the vtec light. You can try asking on another forum. I would but i would have to re-register cause i have no idea what my password was since i have no need to go there anymore.

Or remove your intake silencer, you'll hear it then too.

Has anyone done this to there cL?

 

I noticed when pulling my gauge cluster apart, inside everything, where all the other idiot light bulbs go in there is a description right next to each one telling you what they are for, and one of the blanks says vtec I believe, Its been a while since I had it out, but I almost remember there being a spot for a vtec idiot light already there... so the CL's may already be wired for this little trick. Dont hold me to it, but tear it apart sometime and see whats there.

i dont understand why honda just didn't have a vtec light in the first place if there is a spot made for it already, but never used. what the point of making something if ur never gonna use it?
