Under hood cleaning

I was wondering what you guys use to clean the engine comparment and how you do it?

How do the dealers get used cars to look all shiney and clean under there?

I have tried using a degreaser and hosing it off but i dont want to hose off all the eletrical stuff if it mmight hurt it.

Thanks

do exactly that... just do not hose off excessively... basically do not drown your engine and you will be fine.. also cover your air filterif its aftermarket... run your motor to help dry it when you are done... it will all steam away!!

I also use tire dress up on my hoses.. it looks great but dirt does stick to it after driving so it becomes dirtier at the next cleaning!!!

Wont's hurt it. Just spray enough to rinse off the compartment, don't saturate. Also don't use a pressure washer, that will knock things loose and get into parts it shouldn't.
