trouble starting the car

Tonight, i was out with my friend. It was quite embarrassing, my ACURA, was having a tough time start and maintain at the normal rpm.

I started the engine, and the rpm went up to 700 and dropped down to like 500 or less. Obviously car was sort of shaky at that time. Tried again, still the same, except rpm fell EVEN lower and shaking still. If i feed some gas, then sure, rpm goes up, but still falls down low.

Few other attempts, and its back to normal. Whats the problem??

THis happens once in a while, but frequent enough to make me feel concerned.

I attempted to use some kind of injector cleaner with low gas and drove for a day and floored the gas peddle in order to remove the stuff on the injector. I recall those injector cleanrs are corrosive, and could this be the problem ? Damaged injection system ?

Thank u for any in put !

Have you looked into the ignition recall? One of the symptoms is trouble starting the car.

Yes, the ignition recall was done. In fact, this occured more often after the recall. What is the isopropyl dry gas u are referring to ? What does it do ?? whats the detail behind using that ?

What is isopropyl dry gas? Where do you put it? Get it? What does it do?

I have a '98 3.0 and everytime i'm down to about an 1/8th of a tank, I have trouble starting. It cranks many more times than it usually does when the gas is low. I have a feeling this is going to kill my battery this winter. Is this caused by a poorly positioned fuel pump? I know the easy solution is to keep it full of gas, but I was just wondering if anyone else has ever had this problem?
