When I slow down to less than 10mph and I start going again it starts out in 3rd gear. Then it downshifts into second. Shouldn't it already be in second if I'm going that slow? Even if I accelerate slowly it still downshifts into second. It's anoying if i'm trying to mosy along at a slow pace and I get this lurch from downshifting.

ok theres no check.. just replacment. so if its bad its bad, and it would shift crazy thru all the gears.. so thats not the problem...

have u changed the fluid latley? i would try that..if that doesent fix it then we can start checkin the lockup solonoid, and the other clutch pressure switches. and what part of the autoshifter are u trying to fix? theres like 6 pages of stuff on it.

 

Thanks for looking for me. I have flushed the tranny and it did seem to help a little. Also I got new tires and I think it is a little better now that the rolling diameter is a little bigger. It just seems to want to downshift sometimes, even when I'm going slow. It is better when I have the AC on for some reason.

And the auto I just need the diagram of the wiring. If it's too much, then it's okay. I appreciate the help.

 

my car downshifts all the time when i slow down.. i think my tranny is about to blow anway.. and it shifts to gear 1 really late when i come to a stop..

time to go find me a transmission..

 

I HATE THAT TOO!!! I have to stop at stop signs for like 3 seconds before I can take off again, or it'll start out in 2nd, then 2 seconds later it'll shift to 1st. DRIVES ME CRAZY!!!
