My Cl is in the shop. Im swaping my auto tranny to SH 5 speed. I have a 95 JDM h22 already in there. Im going crazy because the dude is tellin me that he cannot continue because the ATTs unit (limited slip differencial) touches the oil filter. The ATTS is directly below the oil filter. I'm in such a spot that i feel like exploding. Someone please help with some info. Is there a oil relocation kit that would help or can i actually make a new oil filter port. I need this thing resolved. Thanks.

I,ve seen all those kits but they are designed for easier filter replacement and cooler better oil filtration. I need something that will save space. On top of that there are oil sensors right by there which I cannot replace unless I drop the actual engine and create new ports for each sensor including the oil fliter. I pretty much need to weld the aluminum walland the mechanic cant do it. I feel like shooting myself because now im left to buy a type S transmission and deal with the under or over steering whatever you want to call it. This trully sucks balls. If anyone has any idea on what to do to help my chances which are currently zero, you are more then welcome to.

 

Get a J serries motor.

how much room do u need? how far up the filter does the tranny go? maybee use an L fitting instead of the straight will allow for another inch of room. is it hittin the oil filter screw? cause that kit only goes down maybee 2.5 inches.

 

If I'm not mistaken, NOBODY has successfully transplanted an SH tranny into ANY car BECAUSE of the ATTS.

 

The ATTA unit sits above the primary oxygen sensor toward the end of the headers. It comes in line with the rear engine wall. On the wall itself you have oil presure and oil temp sensors. The main problem is the oil filter. You have the actual ol cooler then the filter sitting on top. If all these components could be elimicated the ATTS would be installed succefully. Im so fucking pissed cause I spent all that much and now im back to the beggining. IM getting some ordinary bullshit. Is understeering that bad? I was really planning on havin the SH working but with my luck Im short 1/2 inch clearance. Sucks balls.

its a better handling line of honda.. the new rl has it but its alot more complicated, awd, aws, it sways with the car and makes it handle the bends of the road.. i want an rl really bad.. thier purddy.

Mad people respect the CL's, especially hooked up, because we're the select few with the taste to do it. Keep your CL, let her control what SHE drives, you drive what you want.

the atts system requires an ecu that is capable of an atts instruction set. so you will need the ecu from the same car. but then if wont run properly with the f22/23 so you will still be in a bad spot. i would recommend the h23 tranny. it has just slightly longer gears and works a lil better with the f series.

 

worse off is she drives a 4x4 explorer, and hates that too.. i mean leather, power everything, dvd, mp3, automatic 4 wheel drive dont even have to turn the knob. tho it does drink the shit out of some gas.. bout 20mpg hwy. now she wants a new jetta turbo diesel. so ill get her one and she's gonna pick it out so theres nothin she can say next year when she's tired of that too. women... for all u single guys out there dont get married till ur atleast 40.

 

 

It doesn't have AWS like some of the 4th gen preludes did. It does kinda "steer" the rear end of the car like a tank would though.

 

Im just going with the regular type S transmission w/o the ATTS for now and at some later point in time ill make that addition. I should have some pics posted tomorrow. So close yet so far.
As far as the CL i love it and am plannin on keeping it. You guys should check out the deals on E-bay. The works on a H22 tuned up to H28 able to withstand 900++ HP and 39psi boost for almost 10gs. Thats my goal. Hopefully next year. Then Ill strap a pair of wings and fly.
