Just got back from the track in Alabama. Here are the results:

60: 2.417
330: 6.884
1/8: 10.538
MPH: 65.42
1/4: 16.343
MPH: 85.67

I only raced my car a couple of times (raced my girlfriend's 2001 CL type S for her ), but i think i could've gotten it lower than that... my friends all lowered their psi and took out all their seats and everything, but i left everything intact. only mod was a CAI. how do u think i did? what does the stock 98 2.3 run?

 

thats pretty good. thats a lot better than i did.

what did you run? is yours a 5 speed?

 

yes mine is a 5 speed. my best time was a 16.6297 but i need to get a new clutch and it was the first time ever racing and i don't know the techniques yet. but my best reaction time was .5824 though

 

I took my 2.3 CL auto to the track when it was bone stock to see how it would run.

I ran around 11.4 in the 8th mile at about 62mph.

I'm anxious to go back as soon as I get my exhaust done.

I've seen the '97 2.2 run anywhere from 15.8 to the the low- to mid-16's (normally aspirated).

'98 2.3CL 1/4 mile performance is 16.5 seconds at 85 mph: Review.

 

Thats a good run for just a CAI. I wish I had a 5 speed on my auto 2.3 CL.

 

Thanks guys... it was my first time at the track, so i wasn't as fluid as i should've been. i peeled out too much. for those of you with 5 speeds, what rpm do you launch at? i was launching at around 3000 rpm, which i think was too high. has anyone gotten a better time stock or about the same mods? thanks!
