tire psi

what psi should i have in my 215/40-18 falken tires? right now i got like 34-37

I recently contacted Nitto about the same issue.

I was told 32 in the front and 30 in the rear for my tires (see sig).

I always believed that the pressure should be higher, but they told me otherwise.

BTW: Stock pressure was 32 front and 29 rear (at least on the 3.0).

i would go with what dusbuster said above. i contacted yokohoma tires, and they calculated the psi to be 32f/30r based on our car. tire pressure is more depending on weight of the car. i left it at 33/31 though for a firmer ride. a few psi in a tire can support a lot of weight.

i don't think it's the size of the tire - manufacture might suggest a pound more but i think it really depends on the weight and weight distribution of the vehicle -
and the car specifications determines, NOT the tire specs
