ok now im plannin on smokin my tails...so how do i take these tail lights off withOUT damaging the blubs...thanks guys

 

I need to know this too, I dropped a bulb in my drivers side tail light while changing em lol

buy the rockblocker kit and then you won't have to take off the tails?

Gnate, get one of those telescopic magnets from an auto parts store for like $2. There might be enough metal on the bulb to pull it out.

OP, you don't need to take the tails off to tint them with Rockblocker, plus if you don't want to damage the bulbs, remove them before you take the tails out?

but to take them off, there are 3 bolts on the back of each, pull the plastic trim pieces off, and you'll see the bolts, they're 10 mm

I thought there were 4 nuts and 8mm...
I dont remember.. Been too long since I looked in the back of a CL tail light...

 

It might be 4, I thought it was only 3 but who knows. One of the only parts I've never removed on my CL is the tail lights, since all I had to do was apply the Rockblocker
