my brother had it in his maxima and it hit hard, they are JLw0's
pac bot takes the high level input and converts it into low level so it can be hooked to the amp

looks like you are underpowering your subs severly, u say your amp is 250W at how many ohms? how many ohms are your speakers, if that is 250W at 4 ohms and u have the speakers wired in parallel the amp will think its one 2 ohm speaker, so they will be loud but compared to the peak of the am there is no where to go, however your symptoms sound like your speakers are in series meaning according to the amp it will look like one 8 ohm speaker meaning its probably only getting 75w

Well first of all, IMO, JLw0's aren't too good to begin with. You should at least go with w3's and get a better amp. I just hooked up all my stuff just recently. I'm going with a Kicker Solobaric 12" powered by a MTX 2300x. It's a little bit older, but I've had these bad boys for a LONG time. MAN! I tell you the stock HU is hard to take out!

Ya'll quit dissin his shit. He is properly powering his subs with 250 watts. It doesn't matter how his stuff is wired as long as it's parallel. His amp will provide the same power from 1.5 to 4 ohms. So regardless of which model subs he has (4 or 8 ohm), as long as they are wired in parallel he will have the same power. Also, the difference between loudness from stepping to a 500/1 and a pair of W3s is only 3db. It might have better sound Q, but it's not going to be an extreme difference in loudness. It's all about the box.

I replied in your other thread man...I think it's just a low signal level.

That is correct but miss leading, you can not make an amp put out more power that its it capable of, but the lower the resistance in the speakers the easier that power come out and the more resistance the harder. So in parallel which definately is how the speakers need to be wired, will cause the RMS to raise closter to the amps peak. It sounds like they are in series though because he hears them but the dont bump for shit.

That's not true. It's the design of this amp to actually modify it's output based on the impedence present at it's output terminals. It will put out 250 watts anywhere between 1.5 and 4 ohms. In reality, the amp is actually limiting it self by removing part of it's output devices from the signal chain when driving a 1.5 ohm load, and will draw more power driving a 4 ohm load. But it will put out identical power regardless. What I was reffering to was that it didn't matter which W0 model he had - 4 or 8 ohms. They def need to be wired in parallel, but I don't think that's the problem.

He only has one side of his LOC hooked up. I think it's just a low signal level.

yeah well i fixed the problem i had the wires wired wrong to the amp, i didnt think it matted how the pos and neg was hooked up. I just switched it aroung and its working now......and another thing, not everyone go's for how hard they hit, but these W0's are perfect for clean bass, i built the right box so i have good sound quality....drowning bass isnt everything to me, thanks again.
