A Sudden Idle drop

i havent had idle problems since my IAC was clogged up. now months after i cleaned it out all of a sudden my idle has dropped real low. these are the only 2 factors that i think could have made it happen so suddenly.
number 1, the other day i un-bolted my stock exhaust near the rear right wheel well. its not hanging but its unbolted. it was probaly dumb to do cuz it sounds like a civic, but its temporary until i install my Greddy SP2 in a few days. idk if that could have made my idle drop today or not.

number 2, without letting my car warm up cuz i was in a rush, i immeadiatly drove it and went right out on the highway and when i had to stop at the first light thats when the idle was so low it felt like i was gonna stall out. then at the next light it started to do it, then i shut my car off real qucik and started it back up again and it went away. i rarely do that and usually let it warm up so idk if that had anything to do with it.

any input is appreciated.

Could be a plugged fuel filter, fuel pump going bad, clogged injectors. Needs a full tune up... It could be a number of things.. How many miles are on the car? When was the last time it had a tune up, and what was all done?

it stopped doing it. idk whats up with that. i got spark plugs in the fall so they should be fine, but i think i need new spark plugs wires. i just hit 116K yesterday and i get my oil changed every 2K. i used that injector-carb cleanler stuff a few months ago, im not sure if that does much. but if it starts acting up again, im gonna have a mechanic look at it at my job.

I tend to think you may have a sensor that is losing its connection to the pcm. You could check all the plugs and make sure they are firmly connected to your IAC, BARO, VSS, MAP. Check vacume connections for leaks. Oh, WTF... Why would you change your oil every 2K?

because i barely put miles on my car and by the time i get to 3K its been months. even 2K is alot for me. all i do is city driving, i barely leave my county. i rarely DD so my car sits home on the street all night. i drive like 10 miles a day.

maybe you should try the seafoam......the instructions don't sound too hard
1.) let the vacuum line suck up 1/3
2.) pour down oil cap
3.) pour down gas tank
4.) let it sit for 8hrs
5.) it'll start smoking like crazy
6.) change oil at 500 mi after seafoam was used
(is this all correct???)

they probably hydro-locked it, because they didnt let the vacuum suck it up, but instead poured it down while the engine was off
