stereo help (revisited)

hey guys im hooking a sub and amp obviously up to a stock deck. i need to know what wire is the accessory so i can hook my remote up to it. does anyone have their chiltons manual to look it up or possibly a online wire harness cheat sheet. thanks doods

Acura CL Head Unit Terminal

I just installed an amp in my CL this past week and I needed the same info...using the above diagram I tapped into "A5- White/Red". The amp will power when you turn the key to accessory.

an easier alternative if you're interested is to tap into the cig ligher wire, it comes on when the key is turned to ACC also.

There is a remote wire for the stock amp (if it's bose premium) if not, the cig wire would work, it's on the same fuse as the radio

lol yeah i figured since he's keepin the stock head unit, he may not wanna cut/splice wires that are behind the stock connector in case anything gets messed up; plus they're a pain to work with since you dont have much extra slack

exactly, there is no room in there at all to work with
