Stereo ?????
Stereo ?????
hey guys now before everyone screams search button I ALREADY DID! i needed to know where i can run rca cables from off of my bose head unit or my bose amp. I haven't ripped out the head unit to take a look but i'd rather not if i don't need to let me know!!!! Thanks in advance
If you do the FM modulator, you will have to take out the back seat to run RCA's. I just tapped into the rear speaker wires, works fine and a much easier install. You can get the kit at circuit city or best buy

It's not called an FM modulator. It's called a line out converter. An FM modulator is what you would use to hook up an aftermarket CD changer or XM or Sirius Satalite radio to a factory head unit.
Since the factory head unit is a Bose stereo system, there is not enough signal for the line out converter to funtion properly if you were to hook the line out converter directly from the head unit. What you will need to do is hook up the line out converter to both of your rear speakers. If you do a search, there is a link that shows the wire colors that are positive and which ones are negative. Simple if you know what you're doing, mind boggling if you don't know what you're doing.

Sorry, i read the thread wrong....you CAN tap the line out converter to the back of the head unit if and ONLY IF you do not have the factory Bose stereo system. You might as well tap it there because you'll need a remote turn on wire to turn the amp on, so you might as well catch the switched power and also the rear speakers back behind the head unit all at once.
