Speeding Ticket

so tonite i got pulled over in my town for "supposedly" doing 60 in a 40 mph zone. i had pulled out of a side street and accelerated to the dunking donuts parking lot which was about 200 ft away and pulled in and the cop was sitting in the parking lot. my radar had not gone off and i have a v1. he asks for my id and reg and gets me out of the car and asks me if i knew how fast i was going. i told him i honestly had no idea how fast i was going. he said "according my radar, i got you in at doing 60 in a 40" so he gave me a ticket and i asked him "well, can i see proof of how fast i was going because my radar did not go off and i defly was not doing 60 in a 200 ft stretch especially cuz its slippery out too" he said "no there is no way i can show you that"

i think that is bullshit. i have 2 points on my license and i really dont need anymore. anyway, is there anything i can do? i thought i was supposed to be able to see proof or a print out of how fast i was doing. i think he is jerking me around. can someone help me out?

check the ticket... if he caught you on radar he would give you a specific ticket - if he was eyeballing it then he has to give you another kind... sorry, my minds a bit foggy but maybe someone else can shed some light on this

in my state, he has to

a. show you the radar

b. had to have matched your speed (following you)

c. or timed you from marker to marker on the hiway...

so in minnesota.. go to court means dropped ticket

sign not guilty and take it to court. Then start doing some math. Find out how much room you need to get the car to go from 0-60. Show them that also you were turning onto that street. Also tell the cop to prove to you by means of radar or anything else. Get your actual 0-60 times and everything. Just stump the judge with math and a shitload of other things. Just think and you should be able to get some ideas.

yea. Definitely take it to court - this shit gets settled most of the time anyways.

just to put some of this on the table, he needs to have recorded info. that he used radar on you, he needs to make sure the radar was calibrated that day too.

he has to show you the proof but in court and once he doesn't have the proof the prosecutor will give you a lessor charge that will not give you any points on your license. Also, depending on the judge he/she might even dismiss it since he has no proof but mostly they try to get you with something so they can make a buck.

there a waste of money. Alot of the times there sit you down with the da and work a deal with you that still Fs you over. Just tell them no and take it DIRECTLY to the judge after the meeting and schedual date then bring all your evidence with you. I brought a laptop with a similated car and exact replications of the "scene" when i supposidly did 30 in a school zone of 15. the school zone had not started yet so it was 30 but the cop said the whole road was a school zone and the sighns dont lie. showed up with a complete daigram on laptop and video of the street and the judge dismissed it and the cop apologized for his ignorance.

FUCK YOU COPS SUCK MY THICK HAIRY ASS CRACK AND WHILE YOUR DOWN THERE LICK THE SHIT AROUND MY COLON.
