some speaker installation help.

Hi i tried searching but none of the messages answered my questions fully. Ok right now I have an aftermarket kenwood mp3 player head unit, kenwood amp, and sub. Now i want to change out the stock speakers but i want to be able to change all back to stock easily. Should i get componet and what does that involve. I thinking of right just changing the front 6.5 and the rear 6x9. I dunno if that will mess with the tweeters up front or not. Thanks!

components require drilling holes so it really wouldnt look all that stock if you wanted to take them out... however they usually do give better quality than regular coaxial speakers

You can repalce your factory speakers and go back to the old ones with no problem. You will need to put the tweeters in the dash locations though, and that's a bear from what I hear...

The tweeters are OK...the hard part is making your comps fit and where to place your crossovers...

Damn componet sounds really nice at the store, but damn it looks like a pain in the ass. I probably end up doing 3 ways speakers. Oh well... any recommendations ?

I gotta listen to those again, I heard some rockford fosgate punches and they sound pretty good. Choice Choice Choices.

I have alpine type r's...it was a pain in the ASS to get them to fit. My fault though, cause i didnt pay attention to the speaker size. The magnets are huge! i have to fabricate a brand new speaker ring about an inch thick for them to fit.

I was worried about that also, it looks like the speakers don't have too much room back there.

Would this helped? To make the speakers fit? I am also not sure if the back windows will hit it or come too close to it. I had a problem with my 92 prelude, there like 2 inch gap between the window and the speaker.

Isn't the rear 6x9, or do u mean the 6.5 not going to fit in the front on the larger magnetic speakers.

i'm not sure on this one but i think i heard on here the 6.5 fronts are a problem with rockford because of the size of the magnet like klepto's

the rears are 6x9, you CAN fit some 6.5's with little or no modification in the front. But you can also fit 5 1/4's no prob
