Side Mirror Replacing...
I broke the glass on my right side mirror and I ordered a new side mirror on monday and got it today (wednesday) which I might add is a fast delivery..but anyways...I can't seem to see how the side mirror detaches...I tried a flathead screwdriver..but didn't want to break anything cuz the mirror wasn't budging...anyone have experience in this or know what to do...thanks..

When I was checking out my CL at the dealership I noticed that one of the side mirrors was moving a bit, so I told the dealer that if he wanted to make a sale, he needed to change the mirror for me... so he swaped one from anothe CL. It took him 2 minutes. You have to remove the black plastic (from the inside of the car), sorta looks like a triangle, then you have 3 nuts to remove, and a connector to unplug.

If only you could only find someone with the 2.2/2.3 manual, they could tell you how to do it.

On my wife's Honda Accord, I simply pried off the triangle looking piece on the inside, which gave me access to the bolts. You'll probably encounter some type of an electrical plug that you need to disconnect. Sounds just like what MontrealCL posted above. Good Luck!
while we're sorta on the topic...
anyone had their side mirrors carbon fibered? I was considering that since the dealership somehow scraped off the paint on the driverside one and it's starting to peel off in two sections...its not noticeable now, but when the paint starts peeling on plastic, it's only a matter of time before i have to repaint or do something else..
was wondering if that would look tacky as hell, or cool..can't decide (btw, my cl is black, so it wouldn't standout that much)

HOW DID THAT INSTALLATION GO ANYWAY.
IM TRYING TO REINSTALL MY MIRROR BECAUSE THE PREVIOUS OWNER PUT IT IN INCORRECTLY. I GUESS THEY HAD DIFFICULTIES SECURING IT TIGHTLY SO THEY DECIDED TO PUT SILICONE AROUND THE GAP. DOES ANYONE HAVE INSTALLATION PICS?

The mirror has two swiveling pins to adjust the mirror in and out / up and down. There is a large knob in the middle of the plastic frame that holds the glass to the inside of the mirror housing. If you give a good pull it should come off, just apply constant pressure ( DO NOT YANK or you could break the powered heads that pivot the glass). Hope i could help ya, people have been trying to steal mine for 2 years, so i have some experience with replacing em.
HAHA you brought back a 2 year old post... but ya i just installed the mirror for a prelude(SHOULD BE THE SAME) and it was like this you push the mirror on the top so it goes all the way in.. then you grab the bottom and pull upward and outward towards yourself the mirror and its piece should come out easily.. replacing it is just hte opposite....
